The imported volume of bleached softwood pulp in March 2024 was 854,000 tons, +8.9% month-on-month and +2.0% year-on-year. The cumulative import volume for the whole year was 2.356 million tons, a cumulative year-on-year +13.9%. In March, the import volume of softwood pulp increased month-on-month, with an increase of 8.9%.

The main reason was that the external price of pulp was actively reported to be rising, and the buying sentiment of industry players was to buy up rather than down, which led some operators to actively place orders, and the import volume showed an upward trend. In March 2024, China's pulp import volume was analyzed by producing and selling countries. The top five countries were: Finland, Canada, the United States, Chile and Russia. The total import volume of these five countries was 741,000 tons, accounting for approximately 86.8% of the total import volume that month.

In March 2024, China's softwood pulp import volume was calculated according to the name of the registration place. The top five were: Shandong Province, Fujian Province, Jiangsu Province, Zhejiang Province and Guangdong Province. The total import volume of these five provinces was 546,000 tons, accounting for 63.9%.
